Why does everyone keep thinking new kids means new trolls?
Does nobody remember the fact that the trolls’ ancestors already did the scratch? Just because Jane and Jake are very obviously Nanna and Grandpa, doesn’t mean Jake’s gonna get trolled relentlessly by Dualscar and the signless.
There was that very mysterious gray hand though. So there should be a thirteenth troll at least.
Alright, with all this discussion of god tiers and what not going on, I’ve noticed a distinct lack in WV appreciation. So I’m dedicating a post to him here.
WV has always been a special character to me. Although I really liked Homestuck before reaching his segment in Act 2, it was upon reading this part that I really fell in love with the story. Not only did WV’s wacky antics make me smile, I also found him to be a character that was highly admirable. His dedication to pursuing the ideals of democracy and diplomacy, intelligence, goofiness, and sort of innocent excitability were all thing I loved about his character.
His death was one of the most emotional parts of the EOA5 to me- I actually exclaimed that he couldn’t die upon seeing him with Bec Noir. Sadly, I was wrong.

What the hell was Sollux even looking at so hard. He can’t see anything. At least Terezi can smell the colors or something, but what’s his excuse?
I figured it had to do with directing where the trolls were going, since they were being propelled by him.
But I don’t know, I could be horribly wrong. Homestuck leaves me with the constant impression that any conclusions I reach are horribly wrong.

But… WV.
And Spades Slick! The Courtyard Droll, Aimless Renegade, Draconian Dignitary… The White Queen and White King. Heck, Doc Scratch too. They’re all gone.
